Hvert år blir rundt 20.000 jenter i Nepal offer for menneskehandel. De blir bortført, dopet ned, tatt med over grensa til andre land, solgt og tvunget til å jobbe på bla. bordell. De yngste er bare 5-6 år gamle.
I tillegg blir tusenvis av jenter lokalt i Nepal hvert år også tvunget ut i prostitusjon fra ung alder, fordi de ikke har andre muligheter.
Vi gir jenter i Nepal skolestipend, så de kan gå på skolen. Det gjør at de er langt mindre sårbare for menneskehandel, kan forme sin egen fremtid og kan være med å bygge samfunnet.
