Shining Stars Cardiff CIC (January 2024) is a creative pre-school and Toddler group with lots of painting, exploring, music and fun. Staff have been handpicked for their love of children and are qualified and experienced in Early Years Education. Activities are carefully planned and follow the principles of the Foundation Phase and cover the seven areas of learning. We teach arts and crafts, as well as cultural and religious studies to children from age 2-4. The Toddler group runs every Thursday during term time for ages 0-4.
We currently have 2 paid staff and approximately 20 volunteers. Some are there for work experience or training, to improve their English, or to feel like they’re contributing to the community. They are key to providing excellent support to parents and carers, the children and our nursery, in preventing social isolation and loneliness. Our main aim is to eventually provide childcare to parents who can’t afford it.
