Short Road Pizza began in 2020 as a neighbourhood initiative during lockdown, when my wife Kate, an illustrator, and I, a Creative Director and Chef, started baking pizzas in our back garden to support our local food bank. What started as a community project quickly turned into a successful pop-up, beloved by our neighbours and beyond.
Our pizza blends the best of Italian and American styles—combining the thin, crispy charm of classic Thin Crust Romana with the distinctive flavours of American signature pies. After surpassing our charity goals, we transitioned into a full-fledged pop-up business, hosting successful events at local delis, wine bars, weddings, and private parties.
Now, we’re poised for growth and looking to expand our reach. We're passionate about bringing our refined, creative pizzas to more communities and creating memorable culinary experiences for our customers.
You can now find us at the Three Colts Tavern in Bethnal Green and The William The IV in Leyton slinging pies 7/7.
