Shoshin Press is an experiment in lean publishing sponsored by digital product agency Novoda.
Shoshin is a word from Zen Buddhism meaning "beginner's mind." It refers to having an attitude of openness, eagerness, and a lack of preconceptions when studying a subject, even when studying at an advanced level, just as a beginner would.
And that’s what’s important to us. It can be hard to learn new things, unlearn old habits, say I don’t know how or I’m doing this wrong. Embracing shoshin sets us free.
We’re curious people, generous experts. Community-driven and blah-inspired. Exploring how to learn more, give back to the design, product and engineering communities we’re part of and learn more about the problems the people we serve are having day-to-day.
