India is the world’s largest producer of milk, unfortunately as soon as the cow stops giving milk they are abandoned. Also, most of the male bovine animals have little or no practical use for the dairy farmers. A very small number of bulls are used for breeding purposes and rest are either sent to slaughter house or simply abandoned. These abandoned animals feed on the heaps of domestic waste and end up eating a large amount of plastic and other toxic waste. Shree Nandishala is a well-equipped shelter home /sanctuary built and maintained to provide shelter, food and required medicinal treatment to abandoned, helpless and injured bulls and cows. We currently take care of more than 7000 abandoned cattle: 90% of which are bulls.

Shelter
Shree Nandishala is spread across in 40 acers of land and taking care of almost 7000 thousand cattle currently. SNS has ensure that adequate number of sheds are there to accommodate cattle and prevent them from heat /sun/ cold waves etc.
Fodder Storage
Shree Nandishala has built huge godwons to store dry fodder. Green fodder like grass, Wheat, Barley, etc are cultivated for cattle on our over 40 acers of land. Cattle consumes approx 600-700 quintal fodder per day which is served to them as prescribed by our experienced Vet doctors. It’s important as before coming to us these abandoned cattle had feed on heaps of domestic waste and ate a large amount of plastic and other toxic waste, our team of doctors examines and prescribe the quantity & kind of fodder as per their digesting capacity and ensure their safety.
Medical Facility:
Shree NandiShala has built a well-equipped veterinary hospital & ICU Unit inside the premises for extra care of unwell, injured, amputee cattle with the 24X7 vigilant team of experienced doctors.
