Shwetdhara Milk Producer Company Ltd. is a producer owned enterprise registered on April 25, 2016 under chapter XXI-A of Companies Act, 2013. Shwetdhara runs on the basis of Mutual Assistance Principles i.e voluntary membership, voting rights independent of shareholding, an elected board, limited dividend, education of members and co-operation with other organisations.
The core objectives of the Company are as under:
1. To carry on the business of pooling, purchasing, processing of milk supplied by the members, marketing of the same and to deal in allied activities.
2. To provide or arrange to provide technical and managerial services in the areas of breeding, feed/ fodder, veterinary services to increase milk production for the benefit of the members.
3. To provide education, training and other activities to promote mutual assistance amongst the members.
4. To arrange to procure quality milk from members that meet the standards laid down by the organization and statutory authorities.
