Student Innovation Center of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering (Serbian: SICEF) is a young students’ organization consisting of students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Niš, Serbia. Our members are young, motivated and creative students, willing to work enthusiastically to carry out their innovative plans. Their goals are to popularize engineering, improve quality of studying and implement positive changes.
SICEF organizes several annual events:
● Hackathon, 24-hour long team programming competition. The main goals of Hackathon are to encourage innovation, creativity and the opportunity for young people to gain a good working experience in the team and under pressure, since it is necessary to create an original application within 24 hours, which will be interesting to a wide group of users and have adequate application.
● Technology ‘n’ Trends is a conference about modern technology. Its goal is to network students and companies through direct communication.
Past events:
● xGurus is one-day seminar which connects students with successful entrepreneurs. There were two editions of this seminar - Internet Gurus and Startup Gurus.
● Studies of the Future - The goal of this project is to raise awareness among high-school students about the opportunities that the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and related engineering fields have to offer.
