"When does the school year start?" "What kind of a question is this?!?! The school year starts on October 1st" "OK, it once used to be like that." "No, look, believe me: school year always starts on October 1st!!!" It's October 1st. I still have vivid memories of my anticipation for that day, the day that would have become a milestone in my life. The day I keep considering a milestone of my life. It is my first day in school. I am sitting at my desk. Ringing voices, distant laughs, footsteps in the corridor. The day has begun, the first day in school has begun. Silence. Everybody stands up. The choral "good morning" and then we are ready to start. "I am opening my new exercise book". This is how I feel everyday, as on my first day in school. And I felt exactly the same when, despite all of my insecurities, I took on the challenge of "opening S.I.CO.R.T. exercise book". A long diary full of success, along with some failures, that have been stubbornly solved and turned into opportunities for growth. Today, well over thirty years later, I am not yet satisfied. When I wake up every morning to face a new day, I wonder: "What will I write on my S.I.CO.R.T. diary today?" and, exactly as it used to happen on my first day in school, I leave home confident that I will do something good. For myself and for my customers.
