The Sierra Madre Conservation Society is a non-stock, non-profit organization based in the Philippines that aims to (1) contribute to the protection of mountain ecosystems through sustainable application of concepts such as, but not limited to, nature-based solutions, ecosystem services, regenerative economy, land governance, and inclusivity; (2) to advocate forest landscape and wetlands restoration, biodiversity conservation, wildlife rehabilitation, silviculture, storytelling, and other collaborative strategies that are grounded in scientific research, legislation, responsible journalism, and comprehensive community mapping; and (3) to help preserve cultural landscapes by initiating programs cognizant of the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, a resolution adopted by its General Assembly on 13 September 2007.
