At Silicon Valley Kids, we aim to spark an interest and curiosity in children about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Our belief is that every student has the potential to innovate and create solutions to the problems in our world. We believe that by inspiring today's youth, we can pave the way for a better tomorrow.
In the Bay Area, there are a number of under-served areas and neighborhoods where children do not have access to the resources needed to learn about, or gain exposure to STEM education. Many families cannot afford personal computers, robotics sets, or STEM enrichment programs. Children do not have the opportunity to find or build on their passion for STEM because of the high prices and inaccessibility of other programs.
Silicon Valley Kids provides access to these resources and education by offering free workshops hosted at local libraries throughout the Bay Area.
