Simply Helping, Inc., is an organization dedicated to transforming homes to encourage independent living for individuals with physical and sensory disabilities that live, work, and participate in their local community; Our team works with the recipients to renovate non-functional, non-barrier-free homes. Occupational therapists and builders work with families, and case managers, to create an accessible, barrier-free home. Benefiting from our experience and knowledge of recipients' challenges adaptive equipment needs, we provide minor modifications tailored to enable recipients to live their lives to their fullest potential and purpose. Simply Helping coordinate with local construction contractors and other businesses in the building trade to ensure the functional needs of recipients. In most cases, the construction materials are donated. The family story is an essential part of meeting Simply Helping home renovation criteria must meet two criteria: First, they must be in need of the renovation, and second, they will be willing to share their story to encourage others. The paramount to the harmony of "Simply Helping" is advocacy.
