The Sino-European Procurement Platform (SEPP) is originally initiated by BME (Association for Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics) and IAIT (Institute for Automation and Industrial technology), and is strongly supported by the SME Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Sino-German SME Cooperation Zone Chengdu.
SEPP helps European companies recruiting high quality domestic suppliers by matching purchasing demands to Chinese factories through local offices and digital platform technologies supporting artificial intelligence. Since 2022 SEPP is expanding its activities additionally to South East Asian markets in order to support companies on additional markets.
It enables German and European companies to access the Chinese procurement market and purchase goods for mechanical manufacturing, metal casting and plastic injection molding. On your individual request, we can also look into supplying components for other commodities. Overall, SEPP helps to build partnerships with new suppliers in Western and Central China in order to improve procurement efficiency.
In 2020, SEPP released the purchasing demands of RMB 51.2 billion, resulting in a transaction of RMB 10.7 billion.
