The foundation was launched on June 1, 2013, under their original name of Sisters by GraceTM, after the National Board of Trustees formed a committee to establish the Foundation. On June 7, 2014, The Sisters By Grace FoundationTM became the official charitable foundation for Sigma Alpha Omega®. In February of 2021, the foundation had a name change to The Sigma Alpha Omega® Foundation. The Sigma Alpha Omega® Foundation functions as an alumnae-run, non-profit organization in direct support of the sisters of Sigma Alpha Omega®. It strives to provide funds and opportunities for sister development in academics, leadership, spiritual growth, and mission work. All of these activities are designed to grow not only the relationships with our sisters, family, and friends, but also, and most importantly, our relationships with Christ.
