Sizanani Dropin Centre is a nonprofit organization which is situated in JHB Westrand area in the township called Tshepisong west (informal settlement), and was established May 2016,Sizanani Dropin Centre provides nutritional meal on weekdays for vulnerable and under privilege children aged 6-18 years for the community of Tshepisong and surrounding areas,We don’t just provide meals but also running after school program whereby we help children with school related work such as homework ,projects and research and providing them with basic numeracy, literacy and life skills where we teach them how to read,write and to take care of themselves.Under the program we have a reading club which helps children's vocabulary and writing skills to improve,this initiative also increase their knowledge of how to use word correctly, Another project we doing in the organization is arts music and dance.children practice traditional dance, and modern dance ,We do drama and also choir these projects help leaners to express their emotions and find their personality and mostly keep them away from streets and substance abuse such as drugs and alcohol,we don’t just care about their stomach being fed but also wellbeing so we created a sport club whereby they play soccer and do aerobics this will help them to prevent unnecessary illness and keep their bodies healthy and strong,since the starting of the organization our number of children we accommodate is increasing enormously from 90 to 200 children served.
