SkilledInOdishaConclave Overview

Skilled in Odisha Conclave is an initiative which mainly aims to provide post placement support to the candidates, who participated in the Skill Odisha development programme. This conclave is mainly designed to ensure an efficient platform for the corporate firms, industries, training partners, government bodies with trained candidate. The rural youth of Odisha has the capability to ensure an effective economic and social growth. To manage the skill development programmes in Odisha, Odisha Rural Management & Marketing society (ORMAS) in association with Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojna (DDU-GKY) has arranged various innovative programmes and training sessions. Under this programmes, more than 80 agencies are providing efficient trainings to the youths. The Odisha Gram Pachayati Raj has estimated that more than 2,00,000 estimated candidates for the DDU-GKY trainings. ORMAS was established in 1991, under the Panchayati Raj Department, Government of Odisha, to manage the marketing of rural products, livelihood promotion, and Implementation of placement linked skill Development Programmes. Since 2010, ORMAS has been managing the skill development Programmes of Ministry of Rural Development system.
