SKYVA was founded in October 1996 with a vision for improving the way software applications were built and delivered. SKYVA has brought to market this revolutionary idea of creating applications based on a company's unique business processes, rather than limiting solutions to the functionality common to most companies. To streamline application development and improve flexibility, the skyva Solution Environment adhered to industry open standards such as J2EE, assuring interoperability across platforms from IBM, Sun, and Hewlett-Packard, as well as easy integration with other systems. Solutions included systems that automated and optimized buy, sell, make, deliver, and customer service processes across the value chain. SKYVA initially positioned to bridge real-time plant-floor applications with transactional ERP systems quickly evolved into a full service eCommerce and supply chain solution provider. Skyva was acquired by ABB in 2002.
