The Sri Lanka Anti Narcotics Association (SLANA) was founded in response the emerging problem of drug addiction which has become a burden to the country's economy and also to the society in the country. SLANA, an NGO with special consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC), is a private nonprofit, membership organisation, registered with the Department of Social Services of Sri Lanka.
