SLO Regional Rideshare is a multidisciplinary work group positioned as the county’s one-stop-shop for transportation information. SLO Regional Rideshare's primary role is to reduce the reliance upon single occupancy vehicles within the region. This entails outreach, marketing, and programs meant to increase the public’s awareness, support, participation, and use of alternative transportation. We support all transportation needs of the community, including: youth, able-bodied adults, mono-lingual Spanish speakers, those persons with limited mobility, and seniors.
Our programs include:
• Safe Routes to School: Cycling and walking advocacy for elementary through high school students
• Back ‘N’ Forth Club: Commuter focused outreach and support
• Mobility Management: Outreach, education, and travel training to increase mobility for mono-lingual Spanish speakers, persons with limited mobility, and seniors
• 511: Telephone and online service for up-to-date information on road conditions, public transportation, ridesharing, and much more
• Emergency Ride Home: Free or low-cost ride home in cases of emergency for employees who use sustainable transportation
