Organizing regular transports with Humanitarian Aid, which are sent mainly to the Donbas region.
Every month we buy food products and pack them into packages, which we called BOX OF HOPE. We want there to be not only food for these people but also hope.
The cost of one package is about - $65 - this gives you the opportunity to feed about 2 people for 7 days. Our truck can take about 200 such packages at a time. They go to children and their families, but also to the hospital and the elderly in combat areas.
Since the start of the war in Ukraine, we have been in every month for a week with our team in Donbas. By May 2023, we had sent more than $250 000 in aid to Ukraine
How did it start?
The project was created in the first days of the war in Ukraine. It was initiated by several people associated with SLOT and at first, was about providing direct aid to people on the Polish-Ukrainian border. Over time, it turned into a regular Humanitarian Mission sending several shipments of aid to Ukraine every month. Some of these transports go to our trusted friends and partners in Ukraine.
Who do we help?
Our humanitarian mission in the Donbas includes the help of more than a hundred children from dysfunctional families. These are war-affected families living in the frontline zone. We also support half-orphans located in several villages about 50 kilometers from Donetsk. There is a volunteer Children's Center on the ground. Run by Boris and his wife, the daycare center offers emotional support to the children, they are fed there and taught proper patterns and behavior. Since many families are unwilling or unable to leave the frontline villages, the children remain in a critical situation. Often facing shortages of water, electricity, medicine, food, and basic care.
