Small Angels Rescue, Inc., is a Frederick County, MD based 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, all-volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming gerbils, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, and rats. Small Angels was established in the fall of 2003 and since then has successfully rescued over 4,000 small animals. While we do not have a physical shelter, we use a network of foster homes instead to care for the animals until they find a forever home.
We believe that these small animals deserve an exemplary quality of life, through proper habitat, nutrition, enrichment, companionship, and veterinary care. We strive to educate the public on the characteristics of these small animals and provide comprehensive care sheets to help spread the word!
