The Specialised Master in International and Development Economics aims to train present and future players in the field of development to be able to design realistic and innovative programmes which are based on sound economic analysis and are well-adjusted to the social and political context of each country. The programme is conducted jointly with Université Catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain).
Thanks to the financial support from ARES (Académie de recherche et d'enseignement supérieur), our master has been organized since 1996.
At the end of their training, graduates are in a position to:
- design & implement innovative programmes of economics and human development;
- perform an economic diagnostic
- demonstrate understanding & able to assess the models and methods used by international organizations, foreign governments and consultants in development assistance and international economic relations;
- play an educational role, in particular by clarifying to local decision-makers and to the general public the rationale and usefulness of economic reforms in their local context
- communicate clearly and persuasively both in English (written and oral) as well as in Graphical form;
- collaborate & work within a team
