Smith & Stevenson in the premier Manufacturers Representatives in the Carolinas. We have been serving the plumbing industry for over 50 years. We maintain relationships with manufacturers that are the strongest players in their respective markets. In 1963, Lee Smith and Don Stevenson joined forces to form Smith & Stevenson Co, Manufacturers Representatives. Lee had been representing Oatey Co to the plumbing industry since 1951 and had just begun representing Delta Faucet, a new player at that time in the faucet business. Don had represented several copper tubing manufacturers and had just been named representative for Charlotte Pipe and Foundry. Our relationship with those three original manufacturers continues today. Additionally, our representation has grown to include other market leading manufacturers of fine plumbing products as listed here. Alan Tingler and Michael Stevenson, today’s principles, are over 20 years into our second generation of company ownership. We are 33 employees strong in North and South Carolina, serving the plumbing wholesale market channel. Eight "full line" outside salespeople, two showroom specialists, two builder specialists, and two engineering specialists made over 6000 sales calls last year on contractors, builders, engineers, and wholesalers. Our offices and warehouse are still located in Charlotte, NC, in the same building where Don and Lee started the business in 1963.
