🚀 S2B—Solar 2 Butanol Project 🌞
A Horizon Europe-funded initiative, S2B aims to revolutionize solar fuel production by leveraging advanced photosynthetic biotechnology. Granted €4 million under Horizon Europe Cluster 5, S2B brings together eight European partners to create a sustainable platform for producing butanol—a valuable solar fuel. The project develops next-gen photosynthetic microbes within an innovative artificial leaf architecture, significantly enhancing the efficiency and durability of solar-driven biocatalysis. Through engineered cyanobacteria and sunlight, S2B targets breakthrough production of n-butanol, advancing clean energy solutions for a sustainable future. 🌱💧
