Solar2Energy:
• Leases the roof from the building owner for 27 years
• Organises and funds the surveys, designs and planning applications
• Works with the landlord to make sure the roof is in good enough order
• Prepares everything required to ensure that the funding is made available (quality (bankable) panels, recognised and accredited EPC and installation contractor, approved design, electrical connection etc)
• Manages the installation process
• Sets up the guaranteed electricity supply contract so that all the electricity generated is supplied to the occupier for use in the building at a substantial discount to normal electricity prices.

Under this scheme the building owner has no need to find any capital expenditure and doesn’t have the burden of any operating costs. Solar2Energy claims the Feed-in tariff income in order to fund the investment. The occupier of the building benefits from low-cost, renewable electricity.
