Dr. Jonathan Solomon is a board certified Ophthalmologist specializing in Anterior Segment Surgery including Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr Solomon is proud to be a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, serving on the Accredidation Board for the distinguished Cornea Society, and a founding memeber of ACOS. Dr. Solomon also serves as an Execuitive Board member of the Maryland Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr Solomon previously served as a Clinical Instructor at The Wilmer Eye Institute at The Johns Hopkins University, and continues to remain active in the acedemic community. Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons' mainatins it 40 year affiliation with the University of Maryland as the Terps LASIK surgeons.
Dr Solomon works closely with the leading manufactures surgical equipment including instruments and intraocular lens implants, in an effort to improve surgical outcomes. As a consultant for the FDA’s Ophthalmic Device Panel and the Medical Director of Dimensions Surgery Center, Dr.Solomon is proud to offer the intraoperative Wavefront Aberrometer to ensure precise refractive outcomes for all of the FDA approved presbyopia-correcting intra-ocular lenses (IOL): Restor , Technis Multifocal & Crystalens , including the Toric lens to correct astigmatism. Operating in Maryland and Northern Virginia at Northern Virgina Eye Surgery Center and Fairfax Surgical Center.
