SONDER PICTURES, founded by Amy Nuñez and Gracie Flores in 2025, is dedicated to creating a collaborative space where creatives can thrive. Our mission goes beyond producing films—we nurture artists through every step of their journey, from concept and development to production and film festival runs. Integrating creative development programs into the production company model, SONDER cultivates a space where visionary ideas can flourish.
Our Writers' Incubator is designed to inspire and elevate storytellers. With a writer's workshop model, we aim to create a collaborative space that fosters learning from one another. We provide the tools, mentorship, and resources needed to inspire upcoming filmmakers to transform bold concepts into fully realized films.
MISSION STATEMENT: Founded by two women of color seeking to break into the film industry, we saw how traditional entry points often demand tons of experience or connections just to get a foot in the door. Instead of waiting for permission, we chose to create opportunities for ourselves-- and for others like us. By carving our own path, we aim to challenge barriers, tell authentic stories, and pave the way for others like us to follow.
