Soul Hub is a grassroots community organisation based in the heart of Newcastle, providing practical support and genuine care to people facing homelessness, hardship, and social isolation.
Established in 2003 as Soul Café, we began by serving free meals to those in need. Today, we’ve grown into a vibrant hub of connection and support, offering not just meals but practical support and a wide range of essential services to some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
Each day, Soul Hub serves hundreds of free sit-down and takeaway meals. But our mission goes beyond meeting immediate needs. We exist to walk alongside people as they navigate complex challenges like homelessness, addiction, mental health, domestic violence, financial hardship, and social disconnection. Our goal is to help every Guest find a pathway to greater safety, health, and purpose. At Soul, everyone’s welcome, because nobody’s perfect, and anything is possible.
Soul Hub is non-government funded and relies on the generosity of individuals, businesses, and local community partners. Soul Hub truly is a compassionate community response to a deep community need.
