Soul Housing was established in 2016 to provide “safe discharge” and housing solutions to under-resourced individuals throughout Los Angeles County. With over 1,000 licensed boarding home beds available amongst 60 locations, our mission is to provide a “safe place to heal” to those facing homelessness or housing insecurity, in hopes of helping them regain independence and build a better life.
Soul Housing is currently contracted as a Community Supports provider for Recuperative Care (Medical Respite), Short Term Post Hospitalization Housing, and Day Habilitation.
With respect to Recuperative Care, we offer the following services:
1. 24/7 supervision and post-hospital medical care
2. Medication assistance and monitoring
3. Daily vital monitoring and weekly care assessments
4. Psychiatric and medical professionals on call 24/7
5. Onsite housing coordinators and community health workers
6. Coordination with case management and housing transition service providers
7. Scheduling coordination for medical appointments and transportation
8. Assistance with applying for housing assistance, DMV, and new benefit programs
9. On site drug and alcohol counselors
10. Life skills training
