The Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization and a public charity headquartered in the Atlanta, Georgia area. We are governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors, dedicated to raising funds and dedicated to the support of brain tumor research. Each Board member has been touched personally by a brain tumor diagnosis. They are brain tumor patients, healthcare professionals, survivors, caregivers, and brain tumor friends. Through the success of our sole annual fundraising event, a 5K, the SBTF has funded 45 research grants totaling more than $1.5M. There are 130+ types of primary brain tumors and then there’s cancer that metastasizes to the brain. Federal funding of research for brain tumors is sorely lacking; that’s why public support is critical.
