More than two decades ago, brothers Vincent A. and Lawrence J. Benenati started East Coast Orthotic & Prosthetic Corp. in their home state of New York. The company currently operates O&P clinics and hospital-based O&P services in three states.
Span Link International, LLC was incorporated in 2010 for the purpose of manufacturing and exporting orthopedic products to the United States. The company’s first signature product was the Apollo, a full-shell pneumatic walker boot with dual built-in air pumps.
Over the past decade, the company has invested in the development and tooling for more than a dozen different walker boots, as well as post-operative knee braces, shoulder braces, spinal braces, night splints and other bracing and DME items. Span Link’s manufacturing operations are based in Vietnam and Thailand, and the company continues to invest in the expansion of its capabilities and capacity in these countries.
