Spectricept Care+

Spectrum X limited is a UK based healthcare and pharmaceuticals company focused on providing safe effective products- including the Spectricept Care+ line of broad spectrum, alcohol free, skin non-irritant high-level disinfectants, using patent-pending formulations of stabilised, shielded HOCl, a substance naturally occurring in white blood cells and a key contributor in immune response to infection. Our unique chemistry enables a non-electrolysed form of HOCL to be produced which gives us unique access to class-leading EN Standard lab test outcomes relevant to medical settings. Our 1st-to-market Spectricept Care + Hands formulation is already being used in the UK health care setting and is being widely evaluated across many NHS sites for usage where normally, alcohol-based hand sanitisers have been used. We provide a clear point of difference and advantages over the norm in that we are able to eliminate all the pathogens that alcohol-based hand rubs address, plus some further, more difficult to kill pathogens including spores, which, if they proliferate, have the capacity to close wards and facilities whilst they are removed. Spectricept Care+ does all this whilst being skin non-irritant thus, not requiring users to regularly apply moisturiser or barrier cream. Additionally, the reassurance we can provide health care workers means that their reliance on nitrile gloves is reduced. We support the ethos of the NHS "Gloves are Off" campaign, reducing the massive amounts of waste that glove-usage creates. We are challenging the status-quo and improving outcomes for health care workers, patients and their visitors alike, as well as providing a more sustainable solution protecting our wider environment. We manufacture in a purpose built site in Cheshire, have a strong sustainability stance and Carbon Net Zero story and support the NHS's own drive to beat the clock in arriving at Carbon Net Zero ahead of their own 2040 timeline.
