SPEKTRUMSHOP produces and sells sensory aids to public and private institutions and to the target group of people with special needs who need peace and harmony in everyday life. In addition, courses and seminars are offered to public and private companies.
Products from SPEKTRUMSHOP are developed in close collaboration with experts and work as professionals with a solid background and knowledge in the field. In this way, we ensure that all our products meet the demands of the target group of people with cognitive disorders, for example Autism, Asperger's, ADHD, dementia, and people with stress.
All our activities and toys are CE marked and comply with the requirements of EU legislation, as well as our quilts are Oeko-Tex certified and comply with the world's leading textile health and environmental labeling.
SPECTRUM sensory blankets are among the few 100% breathable blankets at that kind on the market that can withstand up to 80 degrees - and are ergonomically practical because they are divisible (up to 4 parts) and therefore easy to handle.
We have chosen to collaborate and support our target group of people with special needs. That is why quilts and blankets from SPEKTRUMSHOP are made by people with autism or other cognitive disorders. People who require a flex job.
SPECTRUM SHOP was originally started by the National Autism Association in 2007 (Formerly Autism Association). The purpose at that time was to ensure that relevant literature on autism would continue to be published in the Danish language. And to make sure there was enough money to publish books for such a narrow area, we chose to expand with additional resources for the target audience. In 2011, the publisher was sold to the Consultation by special schools for children with autism and the name changed to SPEKTRUMSHOP - and in 2015 all activities were sold to director, Peter KH Nielsen, who today runs the company, SpektrumShop ApS together with his family.
