Spirit Psychological is a Halifax, Nova Scotia based clinic with 20+ team members specializing in school-age and post-secondary psycho-educational assessments, career counselling for young adults and adults, newcomer & refugee support, autism pre-screening, ADHD diagnosis and ADHD executive function coaching, support strategies for children and adolescents, and, individual, family and couples therapy.
Our mission is to tap into the natural resilience and ability of people to grow. Our practice is compassionate & collaborative, and focuses on our clients, both in person in our Halifax clinic, and virtually to everyone, everywhere, through Owl Practice: a Canadian Psychological Association approved privacy compliant service, allowing for safe, secure, private video sessions with us. Day, evening and weekend appointments are available.
We are passionate about ensuring that all our clients have access to the best supports to help them achieve their potential. This means that each Spirit team member is constantly pursuing their own educational goals and certifications to provide the best services possible.
Our Team is certified in many specific therapies and approaches, including: EMDRIA, ICEEFT, NSCCT, CCPA and ATTCH. Our Psychologists are licensed with NSBEP and our Therapists are licensed with NSCCT, CCPA, CPCA. In addition, our Speech Language Pathologists and Behaviour Interventionists are licensed with their appropriate professional bodies and actively pursue professional development.
The Spirit team of professionals includes: School Psychologists, Registered Counselling Therapist (RCT) or Registered Professional Counsellor (RPC), Behaviour Interventionists, Speech-Language Pathologists and Learning Strategists. We also have two Therapy Dogs on our team, Maggie & Karma, who may attend sessions by client request with their practitioners.
