Splendour School was established in Jan 1987 with very humble beginnings in a small city called Kharagpur in West Bengal. The school caters to children from kindergarten right through to the 10th grade and has a student body of six hundred and fifty. It is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations – New Delhi (ICSE Board). The school has grown from strength to strength becoming a major means of socio-economic development. As the name suggests, it is a Bahá’í inspired school endeavouring to render holistic education to individuals from every facet of life. The school is situated in a Para-military area about 5Km away from the town called Salua. The residents of Salua faced many challenges and difficulties thus with the inception of the school; this area has developed tremendously and has had a positive impact on the families of the school students overall. Splendour School is dedicated to providing a high level of education with a focus on all aspects of child development. Our school is distinctive and unique because we are concerned with spiritual qualities such as love, respect, courtesy, kindness, politeness and cleanliness which lays the foundation of a noble and upright character. Splendour aims at bringing to the fore the spirit of service which is inherent in human nature. We also stress the value of coexistence and tolerance, world unity and world peace – by helping the children develop global awareness and perspective.
