At Sportrise, we believe that every child deserves the right to play, dream, and rise. In communities across Africa—especially rural schools and refugee settlements—children face tremendous barriers to accessing sport. We’re here to change that.
We challenge the status quo by manufacturing durable, affordable, and African-inspired footballs that are built to last—designed for rugged terrains where other balls don’t survive. Our flagship product, the LULU Football, is Uganda’s first locally made football, hand-stitched with love and precision by refugees and women in Uganda and Kenya. Each stitch tells a story of resilience, skill, and dignity—turning sport into both opportunity and empowerment.
But we don’t stop at footballs. At the heart of our work is impact through play.
We’ve developed the Sportrise EduPlay Curriculum, a learning-based football game for children aged 5–12. This curriculum transforms football sessions into interactive lessons—teaching literacy, numeracy, health, and social-emotional skills through guided play. Every kick becomes a step toward knowledge, confidence, and a brighter future.
