Over recent decades, social psychological research on gender has expanded exponentially, encompassing a wide range of topics and methodologies. SPRinG is a European network for social psychologists researching gender+ topics, including (but not limited to) sexism, gender stereotypes, gender-based violence and discrimination, gender roles, and gender identity. The “+” signifies the network’s commitment to intersectional and culturally sensitive perspectives.
The network was launched in 2023 at the preconference Gender, held in Kraków in conjunction with the European Association of Social Psychology. Since then, it has grown to over 140 members from 20 countries—and continues to grow.
