The SRM Qkrishi Centre of Excellence in Quantum Information and Computing (SQ-QuIC) will be the driving engine that propels India to a leadership position in quantum computing. SQ-QuIC is focused on quantum education and research. It aims to bring together an interdisciplinary faculty team from computer science, physics, chemistry, mathematics, and engineering to do research in quantum computing algorithms and applications and to educate and prepare the next generation of quantum-ready students to enter the workforce. The activities of SQ-QuIC would benefit the industry while at the same time advancing the science of quantum computing. The Mission of the Centre is to Invent, Develop and Help India Lead
Objectives:
-Invent and develop new algorithms in QML,Quantum Optimisation and Quantum Chemistry.
-Focus on cutting-edge quantum algorithms and applications research in areas such as Finance, Drug Discovery and Logistics Optimisation.
-Work jointly with industry on their use cases.
-Educate and train tomorrow's quantum workforce ready for the upcoming disruptive Quantum Revolution.
