Founded in 2019, SSABHI's mission is to lead the advancement of brain health through education, advocacy, professional development, research and scientific exchange among Africans.
We seek to build a network of brain health enthusiasts, irrespective of professional backgrounds, to develop and implement innovative strategies for promoting brain health in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Our objectives are;
1. To increase awareness on brain health issues in Sub-Saharan Africa.
2. To lead evidence-based advocacy for the protection of brain health and management of brain health disorders in Sub-Saharan Africa.
3. To perform innovative research that addresses the disparate burden of brain health across sub-Saharan Africa.
4. To foster collaborations with local and international partners to reduce the potential burden of brain health in Sub-Saharan Africa towards the achievement of brain equity.
