The St David’s Marist Foundation was established in 2006, with its founding Trustees including Br Jude Pieterse, Kevin Brewer, Mike Greeff, Thierry Dalais, Tony Chappel, Gianni Mariano, Sim Tshabalala, Penny Ndlela and Kees Schilperoort.
The Foundation was established as an independent Trust and PBO to help ensure the long-term sustainability of St David’s Marist Inanda. It aims to support, through funds raised, donations received, and strategic business and philanthropic partnerships, identified development areas of the school.
The generosity and foresight of all those who support the St David’s Marist Foundation Bursary Fund provides a life-changing opportunity for a boy and his family. On average, the St David’s Marist Foundation supports 20 bursaries a year at St David’s – a bursary is not awarded by the Foundation unless the full funds are in place to ensure that the young man will be able to complete his education at St David’s.
The current Trustees of the St David's Marist Foundation are: Andy Hall (Chairman), Simon Denny (Vice-Chairman), Br Fortune Chakasara, Tony Chappel, Darrell Caister, Conor Mc Fadden, Tyson Sithole, Mark Bussin, Mike Thiel, Nick Clogg, Lara Klement and Fiona Budd, with Br Jude Pieterse as the Foundation's Honorary Patron.
