Our lenses are used in refractive surgeries and are called an Implantable Collamer® Lens or "ICL". More than 3’000’000 ICLs have been sold to date – worldwide! STAAR has over 900 employees worldwide and markets lenses in over 75 countries.
Since 1994, STAAR Surgical is also present in Switzerland where we have two sites: one in Nidau BE and one in Brügg BE. Currently, our company is further expanding by setting up a brand-new manufacturing site in Nidau BE.
