Stadsakker Gouda is een particulier initiatief. Het wil de brug slaan tussen boeren en burger. Burgers die graag verse gezonde groenten eten die direct in de buurt worden geteeld. Onder leiding van een professionele boer(in) en met behulp van vele vrijwilligers worden groenten geteeld voor de deelnemers aan dit initiatief en participerende bedrijven en organisaties. De Stadsakker heeft geen winstdoelstelling, maar wil blijven investeren in verhogen van de toegevoegde waarde van de bodem en het gewas voor mensen en omgeving.
