Stamp 3 Association was launched in March 2018 by people on Stamp 3 visa, who moved to Ireland to support their partners' careers. After relocation, they sacrificed their careers and confronted challenges in finding a new job due to the lack of support from employers and bureaucratic process of getting the work permit.
The main goals of the Association are:
- Raise awareness of employers and recruiting agencies on Stamp 3 holders' right to seek employment and apply for work permit (especially Dependant/Partner/Spouse Employment Permit for the family members of Critical Skills Employment Permit holders);
- Compel DBEI to reduce the processing time for work permits, which may currently be as long as 16 weeks;
- Conduct negotiations with INIS and DBEI with an aim to grant to Stamp 3 holders the immediate permission to work for the period of the primary holder's permit duration with subsequent possibility of renewal;
- Demand the same treatment for family members of Critical Skills Employment Permit holders as granted by EU Blue Card in the rest of Europe (where the family members of Blue Card holder have access to the same rights as the rest of the citizens – education, working and living rights);
