Standard Micro Finance Bank Ltd. ( SMFB), operating in Adamawa State, is a leading micro finance bank of Nigeria. With a strong rural focus, SMFB has one of the largest small holder farmers portfolio among Nigerian MFBs, Set up in 1992 as a community initiative, we have always focused on the economical vulnerable segment. Originally called Jimeta Community Bank, the name changed when we became a deposit taking Micro Finance Bank regulated by Central Bank of Nigeria. SMFB is the first State MFB in the North Eastern Region of Nigeria and the largest. We have reached more than 50,000 households through 13 outlets that cover 15 Local Government Areas of the State. Most of these people were financially included for the first time. Our outreach extends to nearly 300 villages , some of which are accessible only during a part of the year.
