Standup for the Cure is a 501c3 Non-Profit Corporation specializing in Standup Paddling events and campaigns that raise money and awareness for early Breast Cancer detection, education, treatment, and research.
Standup for the Cure was established in 2011 in Newport Beach, California. Our focus is to introduce non-paddlers to the healthy lifestyle of standup paddling while building a supportive community bound by the desire to rid the world of breast cancer.
Our events introduce Breast Cancer patients, survivors, and supporters to the healthy, active lifestyle of Standup Paddling in a festive atmosphere. You can expect paddling lessons and demos, a 5k "Fun" paddle, Breast Cancer and Melanoma screenings, live music, great food and beverages, silent auction and opportunity drawings.
Our sponsors and vendors cover all our hard costs so that 100% of entry fees and donations go directly to the local Susan G Komen Affiliates to aid the underserved of the community.
