We design and fabricate a 20ft steel bridge in house to compete in the National AISC SSBC competition. We teach new members how to use industry standard software such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, and SolidWorks as we design our bridge in the fall. We also train students how to use all the machinery in the Davis welding shop and give opportunities to get trained in the Etcheverry machine shop, where students can learn to use the mills and lathes. In the spring we fabricate the bridge and compete in our regional and national competitions.
