Focused on achieving European non-dependence, the project encompasses the development of advanced eSWIR detectors, innovative Read-Out Integrated Circuit (ROIC) lines, and comprehensive testing to ensure space environment compatibility.
Through collaboration among leading European research institutes and industries, STEP is set to enhance Earth observation capabilities and reinforce Europe's autonomy in critical space technologies.
