I was a frustrated, tired English Teacher with a crap pension, thinking that there had to be more to life… it can’t surely just be this… …this endless cycle of work, sleep, repeat, with the occasional holiday I had to save for. I wanted more time, money & freedom. But how? An opportunity presented itself to me – buy houses & make money in my sleep. Buy houses? Na. You’re havin’ a laugh. That’s for rich people with shit loads of money in the bank. That’s for people who wanna take risks, not for regular people like me. - Buy houses? Erm… okay. But I haven’t got any money. - Buy houses? Erm… okay. So, how do I find the money? - Buy houses? Yeah… I could use someone else’s money. - Buy houses? Yes. I want some buy to lets, some social housing and some airbnbs. I embarked upon a journey that took me down many paths – eventually, all these paths led me to a front door of a property that I bought. I retired from teaching in 2022, aged 34. In 2 years, I managed to build a better pension pot than my teacher’s pension built me in 13… I sacked my boss after 4 years in the game. Was it easy? Was it fuck. Is it easier now? Yes. But I’m still working hard & building my portfolio. Property is NOT GET RICH QUICK & I WILL NOT sell you a dream like some of these other ‘gurus
