Stichting Erfgoed Stein is originally the foundation founded by Father Munsters in response to some very important archaeological finds in Stein in the mid-1960s.
The most important and probably also best known is the Neolithic tomb from over 3500 BC. The museum that was built around the grave became the headquarters for the Pater Munsters Archaeology Foundation.
In the year 2000, the archaeological collection of Father Munsters and the private collection of Doctor Beckers from Beek were merged to form the Dokter Beckers-Pater Munsters Archaeology Foundation.
Since 2015, the aforementioned foundation proudly bears the name Stichting Erfgoed Stein; SES for short.
