On July 1st, 2023, the EPR for Textiles Decree entered into force. All companies who professionally release textiles (consumer clothing, work & corporate wear, bed-, table- and household linen) on the Dutch market have been made responsible for achieving new objectives for the reuse and recycling of discarded textiles. Stichting UPV Textiel supports producers and importers with their individual EPR obligations, by collectively organising the collection, reuse and recycling of discarded textiles. We join the forces of the sector to further develop the existing infrastructure, stimulate behavioral change among consumers and organise the collection and processing of discarded textiles as efficiently, effectively and affordable as possible. Together, we make the sector more sustainable.
