By decision of City People Committee Bitola, Komunalna banka Bitola was established and started operating as of October 01, 1948. By decision of People Committee of Bitola District Komunalna banka Bitola was established for the area where the District was acting, so Komunalna Banka Bitola merged with Komunalna Banka Bitola (District bank) which started operating as of October 08, 1956. By decision of the founders Komunalna Banka Bitola remains to act as bank of municipality Bitola and Demir Hisar as of April 01, 1962. By decision of Assemblies of the founders of Komunalni Banki of Bitola, Ohrid, Struga, Resen and Krusevo, Komercijalno investiciona banka Bitola was established with head office located in Bitola and existence of five branches. This banking organization started from January 01, 1966 till the end of 1972. By decision of Assemblies of the founders Komercijalno investiciona banka Bitola merged with Komercijalno investiciona banka Skopje and Stopanska Banka Skopje in unique bank located in Skopje. The new-formed Stopanska Banka Skopje started working as of January 01, 1973 by opening branches in all municipal centers. By decision of the founders December 23, 1977 Stopanska Banka Osnovna Banka Bitola was established and constituted. The formed main banks by Agreement formed Stopanska Banka Zdruzena Banka Skopje. By decision of the founders of the main banks during December 1989 brought decision for merging – establishing of Stopanska Banka a.d. Skopje, so that the main banks were transformed to main branches, and the business units of the main banks to branches. The Bank started operating as of January 01, 1990. By tender of National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia five banks separated from Stopanska Banka a.d. Skopje, among them Stopanska Banka a.d. Bitola, which started to work by decision of the Assembly of the shareholders as of June 06, 1995 as independent bank with starting balance as of January 01 1995.
